Fall Back to Winter Hours at the Depot
This year, the fall back from Daylight Savings coincided with our annual return to winter hours at the North Shore Recycling Drop-off Depot.  The depot is now open 8-5 weekdays, and 8-6 on weekends, through March 31.  Click here for more information on our Recycling Drop-off Depot.
 
Western Caulfeild Residents Participate in Metro Food Scraps Recycling Demonstration Project
The District of West Vancouver is participating in a 6-month long pilot curbside food waste recycling collection project being coordinated by Metro Vancouver.  More information will be available in the coming weeks - in the meantime, you can find out more about the program at www.metrovancouver.org/foodrecycling.  The pilot neighbourhoods have already been selected and residents are being notified.  If you have not received information from West Vancouver municipality, your area is not participating in the food waste collection program.  For more information, contact Metro Vancouver at the contacts listed on the web page noted above.

Aluminum - Now Recyclable in your Blue Box
As of July 1, you can recycle aluminum foil in your Blue Box (single family homes) or Mixed Containers Cart (apartments, condos and townhouses).  Just rinse clean of food residue and pop it in the collection bin/cart.  Find out more about curbside metal recycling by clicking here.
