Victoria Day Collection Schedule Change

Victoria Day-2013 The North Shore Recycling Program office will be closed on Monday, May 20 for Victoria Day and will reopen on Tuesday, May 21 at 8:30 a.m.

Your curbside collection will be affected, so please check your 2013 collection schedule for details.

The North Shore Recycling Drop-off Depot, located at 29 Riverside Drive, North Vancouver, will be open every day on the long weekend:

Saturday, May 18 - 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Sunday, May 19 - 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Monday, May 20 - 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Green Can How-to Videos

The Green Can Program allows residents in the City of North Vancouver, District of North Vancouver, and District of West Vancouver to set food scraps and food-soiled paper curbside for composting along with yard trimmings instead of sending them to the landfill with the garbage. These short how-to videos are designed to help residents get started.

District of West Vancouver approves bi-weekly garbage pick-up for Spring 2013

The District of West Vancouver Council has approved a move to bi-weekly garbage pickup in Spring 2013, which will help the District reach its target of diverting 70 per cent of residential garbage from landfills and incinerators. Garbage will be collected every second week, while recycling, Green Cans and yard trimmings will continue to be picked up every week.
